About
An 1800s stagecoach stop and the former family home of Keystone Resort founders Max and Edna Dercum, Ski Tip Lodge offers a reservation-only, four-course prix fixe dining experience alongside nine quaint bed and breakfast rooms. Chef Kevin Simley, who moved to Summit County in 2014 after training at Johnson and Wales University, applies a contemporary twist to seasonal ingredients sourced locally. The intimate dining room and living room feature stone fireplaces, hand-hewn beams, and board games, creating a cozy atmosphere for guests. The restaurant operates year-round, with summer hours from Thursday through Sunday and winter service Wednesday through Sunday, typically between 5 PM and 9 PM. A notable feature is the Friday and Saturday Après events held from July through September, offering a pre-dinner social hour. The establishment’s extensive wine list earned the prestigious Wine Spectator Award for 2023 through 2026, and it has been recognized on OpenTable’s Top 100 best restaurants in North America list for multiple years. The Lodge also hosts weddings and special events, utilizing both the main dining room and a quaint library for gatherings of various sizes.
