Keeping the West wild since 1978, Snowmass Creek Outfitters is a working ranch in Old Snowmass where we connect people to horses and wide-open spaces. Co-owned by Amy Groom, a Colorado native who has called the Roaring Fork Valley home for two decades, our business is built on a foundation of family, hard work, and the simple outlook that every day ends in Y. We lead rides across open pastures along wide trails, offering big valley views of Mt. Sopris and the Elk Mountain Range with guides who know these horses and this land inside and out.

Our schedule runs from opening until October 31, allowing guests to book online or call directly. We offer a variety of ride options tailored to different needs and times. Ranch Rides are classic, easygoing, and full of Colorado character, featuring a 90-minute group ride or a 2-hour private ride. For those seeking something more immersive, our Creek Rides follow quiet trails through aspen groves and along Snowmass Creek itself. These include half-day or full-day excursions, both of which come with a picnic lunch and plenty of time to slow down.
