Kim and Cory Wesson have cultivated Sopris Alpaca Farm on 53.6 acres of fertile Peach Valley farmland since 2012. Situated just off Highway 6 in Silt, the property features a boutique cabin and a quiet farm setting where visitors can hand-feed alpacas using small bags of supplements sold on-site. The experience includes observing the herd, learning about fleece, and potentially witnessing the birth of crias during spring season. The farm hosts birthday parties and school field trips, offering a serene environment for families and groups. A key feature is the Sopris Alpaca Boutique, which sells alpaca garments, yarn, socks, stuffed animals, and ornaments made from the farm's own fiber. The Wessons also provide a bed and breakfast option for visitors looking to extend their stay. No admission fee is charged, making it an accessible attraction for tourists and locals alike.
