Splitter Alpine Adventures

Our custom mountain guiding service operates from Ridgway, Colorado, at the foot of the rugged San Juan mountains. Since 2007, we have specialized in technical climbing instruction and private guided ascents of classic routes. Our programs cover rock, ice, and alpine climbing, ranging from desert splitters to full-day multipitch objectives and ephemeral frozen waterfalls. We offer training on introductory and advanced movement skills, multipitch efficiency, and self-rescue courses. As our guide, I hold AMGA certifications as both a Rock Guide and an Alpine Guide, supported by undergraduate degrees in Outdoor Education and Psychology from the University of Massachusetts. We travel annually to Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, and the desert Southwest to bring diverse climbing experiences back to our local base. Operating out of Ridgway allows us to access vertical terrain year-round, ensuring professional instruction and logistical support for every client.
