About
Sundrop Flora grows all of our blooms at Iola Valley Farm, situated just south of Gunnison in the rolling hills of the Iola Valley. We cultivate vegetables and raise sheep and cows, which provides rich organic compost for our regenerative farming practices. Our flowers are grown without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides, ensuring a clean product for your home. Water conservation is a priority, managed through drip irrigation systems that minimize waste. To extend our natural growing season from June through September, we utilize hoop houses, thermal mass heat, and frost cloth, keeping propane use to a bare minimum. This approach limits our carbon footprint while allowing us to offer fresh, locally grown flowers during their peak season. Beyond selling bouquets, we host a variety of community events including volunteer days, farm dinners, and U-Pick days, inviting visitors to experience the farm firsthand. As a woman-owned business founded by flower farmer Jenna Hallock, we are dedicated to nurturing the land and increasing biodiversity through native perennials that support local pollinators. Our licensed and insured team offers free consultations to help you select the perfect flowers. Appointment times are available for those who wish to visit the farm directly.
