Sunspot Mountaintop Lodge

The sun-drenched deck at The Lodge at Sunspot sits 10,700 feet above Winter Park, offering panoramic views of the Continental Divide. Guests reach this mountaintop destination by riding the scenic Gondola, which ascends to nearly 11,000 feet. During the summer months, from mid-June through late September, the lodge serves lunch and midday snacks starting at 11 a.m. via The Provisioner, alongside full food and bar service until 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.

On Fridays and Saturdays between June 19 and August 29, Mountaintop Happy Hour runs from 4 to 7 p.m. This period features drink specials, live music, and free Gondola access for visitors. Outside these special hours, a lift ticket or Scenic Gondola day ticket is required for entry. The lodge also offers discounts to Winter Park and Ikon season pass holders, with 15% off for Ikon Pass holders and 10% off for Ikon Base and Winter Park pass holders, excluding alcohol.

The venue remains open daily during the ski season, operating from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and extends its hours on Fridays and Saturdays until 7 p.m. during the summer season, with the last gondola ride departing at 6:30 p.m. on those days. The space is wheelchair accessible and dog friendly, providing a welcoming spot for hikers exploring the nearby Alpine Fairy Trail or simply soaking in the alpine air.
