Founders Bob and Russ spent twenty years experimenting in their family garage to solve the persistent problem of ill-fitting ski boots, eventually launching Surefoot in Aspen. Their approach, born from Russ’s competitive ski racing background, rejects generic shapes in favor of totally custom boots designed to deliver both comfort and performance. The shop specializes in high-end, comfort-focused footwear, utilizing custom liners and insoles to address specific anatomical challenges such as high insteps, narrow heels, and wide forefeet. Staff members like Austin, Connor, and Ricky are known for their expertise in relieving pain points, often reheating liners, shaving pressure points, and adding padding to ensure customers can wear their boots all day without numbness. This attention to detail allows skiers to spend less time adjusting their gear and more time on the slopes.
