About
Founded in 1953, The Art Center of Western Colorado has served as Grand Junction’s cultural anchor for over five decades. We operate as both a museum and an educational hub, hosting more than 30 diverse art exhibits annually that feature work by nationally and internationally renowned artists alongside local Western Colorado talent. Our five galleries showcase this range, while our Permanent Collection preserves the state’s rich history and culture for visitors to explore year-round. Beyond exhibitions, we offer robust arts education programs designed for children and adults of all abilities, ensuring there is always something to learn. Visitors can browse our Gift Shop for unique finds or utilize our facility for private rentals and community events. We are financially supported by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors and our membership base, which grants free admission to hundreds of museums nationwide. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm, we welcome art-curious guests and seasoned collectors alike. Admission is generally $5, with free entry on Tuesdays and no charge for the Gift Gallery.
