The Avalon Theatre

Walter Walker built The Avalon Theatre for Grand Junction residents in 1923, naming it after the Welsh word for apple to honor the valley’s historic orchards. The City of Grand Junction took over the aging structure in 1996 and completed a major renovation in 2014, restoring the venue to its current glory. Today, the theater features 1,096 seats arranged to provide excellent acoustic quality and clear visibility of the stage. Managed by Oak View Group, we host various live entertainment events and offer our space for private parties. Guests can utilize the adjoining meeting space or rent the rooftop terrace for special occasions. We welcome families and credit card users to enjoy our intimate setting in downtown Grand Junction.
