About
Built in 1891 as a miner’s cabin in Irwin, Colorado, and moved to its current spot at 309 3rd Street in Crested Butte, The Dogwood offers a distinct blend of historic architecture and modern libations. Owners Drew and Sarah Jane took over the business in 2015, bringing their background in food and beverage to a space that features original woodwork and three subsequent additions. As a 21-and-over venue, we do not take reservations, preferring to seat guests on a first-come basis. During peak season, arriving at 4pm when we open is the best way to secure a table, especially for parties of six or larger.
Our menu highlights carefully crafted cocktails and lite bites. Signature drinks include the Bluebird, made with Bombay Sapphire and St. Germain; the Carmine, featuring Stray Dog gin and blood orange; and the Porch Song, which pairs Leopold’s Navy Strength gin with an IPA float. Seasonal offerings range from the winter-only Cocoa Verde and Spanish Coffee to summer favorites like the Lavender mimosa and Stout Ice Cream Float using Lefthand’s Milk Stout Nitro. We also serve grab-and-go sandwiches and support local farms such as Chamberlain Farms, Conner Orchards, and High Mountain Apiary. Guests enjoy indoor seating or our courtyard patio while sipping fine spirits and sharing camaraderie.
