Daniela, a Zurich native who trained as a pastry chef, founded the business in 2009, bringing her Swiss expertise to the Colorado mountains. Her chocolate-making process happens right on-site, producing truffles, toffee, caramels, and roasted nuts by hand. This attention to detail earned her a long-standing spot making treats for Jay Leno, which were enjoyed in the green room of The Tonight Show. The store also stocks items from over 14 local Steamboat companies alongside kitchenware from 50 global brands. Customers frequently highlight the friendly service, knowledgeable staff, and the distinctive squeaky floors that add character to the shopping experience. Gift-wrapping services are available, making it a popular spot for last-minute presents and souvenirs. The current owners, Daniela and her husband Steve, have maintained the shop’s focus on local support and high-quality goods for years.
