The Reckless Roadhouse

Our custom-built smoker has been burning since 2021, fueling the full American BBQ menu at The Reckless Roadhouse in De Beque. Located just off I-70 between Parachute and Palisade, we serve as a favorite stop for travelers passing through the Western Slope on their way to Powderhorn Mountain Resort or Grand Junction. We bring over 15 years of culinary experience from our owner, Russell Klase III, including a James Beard Award nomination and executive chef roles in Denver, to our brick-and-mortar location at 424 Minter Avenue. Our menu highlights sustainably raised meats and locally sourced produce, with daily rotating feature items that change with the smoker’s output. Guests can pair their meal with a seasonal, house-crafted cocktail from our constantly changing drink list designed to satisfy any palate. Live music and events fill our space on weekends and special occasions, creating a lively atmosphere where you don’t have to stay long, but you will come in for a good time. We welcome diners to eat with us or take our meal away, offering wheelchair accessibility and ample parking for those driving through the small-mountain town.
