Joe and Heather Zeba transformed the old Virginia’s Steakhouse location in Bayfield into The Weminuche Woodfire Grill, a family-oriented restaurant that honors the nearby Ute Indian term for "the old gentle way." Situated near Vallecito Lake and the San Juan Mountains, the establishment serves quality food while accommodating major allergens including milk, egg, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy, and sesame. Although the Zebas family resides in southeastern New Mexico, they maintain a strong presence at the grill, often seen cooking, washing dishes, and clearing tables themselves.
