Third Bowl Homemade Ice Cream

Kendell’s journey from home kitchen to a brick-and-mortar flagship began in June 2011, evolving into Third Bowl Homemade Ice Cream. After launching a cart in Crested Butte in 2012, we shifted to wholesale operations in 2020 and moved our production base to Delta County in 2021, positioning ourselves closer to the farms that supply our organic and locally sourced ingredients. Today, we craft small-batch ice cream from scratch in Hotchkiss, cooking, pasteurizing, and freezing every batch individually to preserve peak flavor. We make our own mix-ins, including cookies, cakes, homemade marshmallows, and fruit ribbons, ensuring a richer result than mass-produced alternatives. Our current lineup features seasonal highlights like Raspberry Coconut Cake, Salted Caramel Shortbread, Orange Marmalade Chèvre, Honey Lavender, Cinnamon Cayenne Honey, Spicy Chocolate Praline, and DF Coffee Almond Fudge. While we distribute to over three dozen partner scoop shops and grocery stores across southwestern Colorado, our new flagship store in Grand Junction offers the full experience for scoops or pints to go. We are proud to serve our community with ice cream that is genuinely fun to eat.
