At 1151 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles south of Pitkin, or 20 miles east of Gunnison, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include... Pitkin, Ohio, Waunita Hot Spgs, and White Pine.

This includes U.S. Highway 50 in Colorado between mile markers 174 and 181, and between mile markers 196 and 199.
