At 444 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 31 miles north of Fruita, or 38 miles northwest of Grand Junction, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of west central Garfield County.

This includes Colorado 139 between mile markers 25 and 38.
