At 401 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the western portion of the Turner Gulch burn scar and toward Gateway. Between 0.4 and 1.00 inches of rain may have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.7 to 1.5 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through the basins on the western end of the burn scar. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Turner Gulch Burn Scar.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... mainly rural areas of Southwestern Mesa County
This includes the following streams and drainages... North Fork West Creek, Dolores River, West Creek, Ute Creek, North Lobe Creek, Gill Creek, Maverick Canyon, Cow Creek and Calamity Creek.
