At 628 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 16 miles south of Cortez, or 23 miles north of Shiprock, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include... Cortez, Mancos, Dolores, Lebanon, Towaoc, and Mesa Verde Natl Park.

This includes the following highways... U.S. Highway 491 in Colorado between mile markers 1 and 32. U.S. Highway 160 in Colorado between mile markers 10 and 68. Colorado 145 between mile markers 1 and 15.
