The Sowbelly burn scar in... Southwestern Delta County in west central Colorado... Southeastern Mesa County in west central Colorado... Northern Montrose County in west central Colorado...
Until 430 PM MDT.
At 351 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain over the Sowbelly Burn Scar. Between 0.2 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.6 to 1.2 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through Escalante Creek. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
HAZARD...Dangerous flash flooding and debris flows are possible in and downstream the Sowbelly Burn Scar.
