At 337 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 20 miles south of Grand Junction to 25 miles north of Naturita to 8 miles north of Nucla. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include... Escalante Forks.
This includes the following highways... U.S. Highway 50 in Colorado between mile markers 47 and 64. Colorado 141 between mile markers 125 and 149.
