At 330 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms 14 miles northwest of De Beque, or 28 miles north of Grand Junction, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central Garfield and south central Rio Blanco Counties.
