At 725 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 miles west of Loghill Village, or 19 miles southwest of Montrose, moving north at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Ouray and southeastern Montrose Counties.

This includes U.S. Highway 550 in Colorado near mile marker 122.
