WHAT
Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
WHERE
A portion of the Southwest San Juan Mountains, recent burn scars and steep mountain corridors. This includes the Gold Mountain, Ferris, and Elk burn scars, as well as, Highways 550 and 145.
WHEN
Through this evening.
IMPACTS
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations, as well as debris flows through recent burn scars. The debris flows can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Heavy rainfall from thunderstorms and/or training storms is possible this afternoon and into late evening hours.
