At 435 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Palisade, or 8 miles southeast of Grand Junction, moving north at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Heavy rainfall and wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Heavy rain can reduce visibility and create localized flooding. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include... Grand Junction, Palisade, Clifton, Orchard Mesa, Whitewater, and Fruitvale.
