Eastbound and westbound open. Between Camp Hale Pond (7 miles east of the Red Cliff area) and County Road 21 (3 miles west of the Leadville North area) from Mile Point 161 to Mile Point 169. Passenger vehicles that are all-wheel drive (AWD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) must have winter (Mountain Snowflake icon) or mud and snow (M+S or M/S) or manufacturer rated all-weather tires with adequate tread depth of at least 3/16 of an inch. Two-wheel drive (2WD) vehicles are required to have chains or an approved traction device.
