Movement was northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Dolores, Rico, and Stoner. This includes Colorado 145 between mile markers 3 and 49.
At 459 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles north of Parachute, or 35 miles west of Glenwood Springs, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of central Garfield County. This includes Colorado 13 between mile markers 7 and 15.
