WHAT
Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
WHERE
A portion of west central Colorado, including the following county, Mesa.
WHEN
Until 415 PM MDT.
IMPACTS
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 216 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to training thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.6 and 1.2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... North East Creek and East Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.3 to 0.7 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... mainly rural areas of Central Mesa County west of Whitewater near Highway 141 - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
