WHAT
Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
WHERE
A portion of west central Colorado, including the following county, Mesa.
WHEN
Until 845 PM MDT.
IMPACTS
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 535 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms moving between Fruita and Grand Junction. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.4 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Western portions of Grand Junction and Appleton to near Fruita are the most likely place to experience minor flooding. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.6 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding and cause considerable ponding of water on the roadways. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
