About this event
Come celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with us!
We’re bringing our community together for the First Annual GJ Día de los Muertos Celebration at Cross Orchards!
Come explore beautiful, locally made ofrendas (alters), learn more about the traditions behind Día de los Muertos, and spend some time celebrating the people and memories that connect us. 🧡
There will be food, activities, art, and plenty of opportunities to create, learn, and celebrate! Bring the whole family, bring a friend, or just come hang out and soak it all in.
Five local artists have been commissioned to create original ofrendas for the celebration. An ofrenda is a special altar created to honor and remember loved ones who have passed, often filled with meaningful photos, objects, flowers, and other offerings that celebrate their lives. Come check them out and hear the stories and inspiration behind these special works.
-Explore the traditions of Día de los Muertos, participate in community activities, contribute to the community ofrenda, and add your own memories and creativity to the celebration.
-Food will be available during the festival, so come ready to eat, explore, and have some fun!
