Free CarFit safety event

CarFit is a free, 20-minute vehicle safety check designed to improve comfort and safety behind the wheel. Trained experts will help participants adjust mirrors, seat position and other vehicle settings to better fit their individual needs.

The event will be held Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Moose Lodge, 567 25 1/2 Road in Grand Junction.

CarFit is a national program developed by AARP and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
