    About This Event

    Join Erin Cawley for a more advanced middle and high school theatre camp for ages Ages 11-18 (students entering grades 6-12) . This two-week camp focuses on building theatre skills while creating and performing a full-length, Tony-award winning production. Students can focus on acting, production, or both during this camp.

    Daily activities include:

    * Rehearsals
    * Set, prop, costume design and creation
    * Theatre games
    * Collaboration and teamwork
    * Preparing a fully realized performance in two weeks

    Camp includes three public performances. Show dates:

    * Friday, July 24 @ 6:30pm
    * Saturday, July 25 @ 2:00 pm
    * Saturday, July 25 @ 6:30 pm

    Students should arrive 90 minutes before each show. There will be a break from 4:00pm–5:00pm between the two Saturday performances. An early potluck dinner will be organized during this break.

    Performance runtime: approximately 90 minutes. One ticket is included per registration.

    About the Play:

    Peter and the Starcatcher is a Tony Award-winning prequel to Peter Pan that tells the story of an orphan boy’s journey with a girl named Molly, pirates, and magical "starstuff". Actors play dozens of characters and use minimal sets and props to create a production that relies on storytelling and imagination. Key characters include the Boy (Peter), Molly, and the villainous pirate Black Stache (who becomes Captain Hook). The play explores greed, love, duty, and the transition from childhood to adulthood, all in a fun, adventurous package. The play premiered Off-Broadway in 2011, transferred to Broadway in 2012, and received nine Tony Award nominations, winning five.
