About this event
Helping people affected by disasters big and small.
Have you ever wondered what role the Red Cross plays in emergencies… especially in this summer’s Gold Mountain Fire?
Speaker Christie Caster is the Executive Director of the American Red Cross Western Colorado, and Beth McCorkle is a community volunteer leader and vice chair of the advisory council that includes Montrose, Ouray, Delta, and Gunnison Counties.
They will provide an overview of the American Red Cross and its mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in emergencies. Their overview will highlight the organization’s key services, including disaster relief, blood collection, support for military families and veterans, health and safety training, and community preparedness programs.
Attendees will gain insight into how Red Cross volunteers, donors, and partners strengthen communities and help people when they need it most.
