The Forum – Montrose County Commissioners

Montrose County Commissioners Kirstin Copeland, Sean Pond, and Caryn Gibson

Board of County Commissioners Chair Kirstin Copeland, District 1; newly sworn-in Commissioner Caryn Gibson, District 2; and Commissioner Sean Pond, District 3, will share updates on recent County events, current projects, and what’s coming next.

The Forum is also a chance to hear directly from all three commissioners and learn more about the work underway in Montrose County.

The Forum will meet from 9:00-10:00 am starting in October  

• October 7 – November 2026 Ballot and Ballot Issues – including a walk-through of the 2026 sample ballot by Montrose County Clerk Tressa Guynes and a non-partisan presentation of the ballot issues by the League of Women Voters
• October 14 – November 2026 Candidates – including candidate presentations by all County candidates plus Jeff Hurd, Dwayne Romero, and Larry Don Sukla
• October 21 – Montrose Press Publisher Dennis Anderson
• October 28 – Beth McCorkle, Red Cross

Each week, The Forum hosts a speaker who shares a topic of interest to the community. The Forum is free and open to anyone interested in Montrose. The Forum meets on Wednesdays (except during major holiday weeks) at Colorado Mesa University – Montrose, in Cascade Hall, south of the Montrose Library, at the corner of S 3rd Street and S Cascade Ave.
