A Deep Dive Into The Montrose Recreation District

Join us on Wednesday, September 2, from 8:00-9:00 a.m., as the Montrose Forum welcomes representatives from the Montrose Recreation District (MRD) for an exciting look at new programs, expanding opportunities, and future recreation plans for our community.

Speakers Executive Director Justin Mashburn, Deputy Director Jeremy Master, and Grants and Outreach Specialist Astro Ball will share updates on programs and facilities and what these changes mean for our community.

Perhaps most exciting, you’ll hear about plans and see renderings for the New Field House, one of MRD’s most significant recreation projects since opening in 2017. The proposed Field House will bring high-quality indoor programming, sports, fitness, and recreation amenities to the north side of Montrose, creating new opportunities for residents of all ages.

Meet the speakers, learn about the programs and services MRD provides every day, and get a firsthand look at what’s next for recreation in Montrose!

Each week, The Forum hosts a speaker who shares a topic of interest to the community. The Forum is free and open to anyone interested in Montrose. The Forum meets on Wednesdays (except during major holiday weeks) at Colorado Mesa University – Montrose, in Cascade Hall, south of the Montrose Library, at the corner of S 3rd Street and S Cascade Ave.
