2026 Ridgway Town Councilors
Mayor John I. Clark
Mayor Clark is a native Coloradan and has lived in Ridgway since 1982. After making
his living as a glass artist for a quarter century, John made the rather unconventional
switch to Apple-specific computer consultant. “I n helping folks with challenges of the
current tech world, I find that I have to be as much a counselor as a consultant!” he
says. John was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Ridgway Town Council in 2000 and
was elected mayor in April 2012. He is now in his 14th term on the Council and in his
eighth term as mayor. Additionally, he has been on the Ridgway Planning
Commission since the mid ‘80s.
Regarding his tenure in Town government, John says, “My primary goal has always been to make sure
people feel heard. There will always be many perspectives about any particular issue facing us, and it’s
important to try to find that trick balance that meets the best interests of everyone in Town. I care very
much about our wonderful community and strive to keep it moving in a positive direction and, most
importantly, at a manageable rate.”

Mayor Pro Tem Beth Lakin
Beth Lakin was sworn in on Town Council in April 2019. She has made Ridgway home
since 2013 and teaches high school science in Ouray. Beth studied chemistry at Bates
College (BS, 2008) and oceanography at Oregon State University (MS, 2010) before
being called to the mountains. Beth is passionate about Ridgway, her chosen home,
and is proud to look out for its best interests as a Council member. When not teaching,
attending Council and committee meetings, or attending to projects at home, she can
usually be found in the mountains with her beloved pup.

Councilor Michelle Montague
Councilor Michelle Montague began her term on the Town Council in April 2025. She is
also the Chairperson of the Ridgway Planning Commission and has been a member
since April 2021. Originally from Buffalo, New York, she arrived in Ridgway via Telluride
in 2015, where she resided for over 30 years. There, she served on the Telluride
Housing Authority from 1992 to 1996 and as Secretary of the Historic and Architectural
Review Commission and Planning & Zoning in 1999 and 2000.
She became a full-time resident of Ridgway in 2018. She holds an Associate Degree in Accounting and a
Bachelor’s degree in Early Secondary Education, both from SUNY schools. She has a great appreciation for
art and works with clay.

Councilor Kevin Grambley
Councilor Kevin Grambley was elected to Ridgway Town Council in April 2020. Kevin
first arrived in Southwest Colorado during the winter of 1997/98 and moved to
Ridgway full time in 2006. His background includes a degree in Economic Geography
from Pennsylvania State University (BS, 1997) and a near 20-year career in aerial
surveying and remote sensing that has taken him to project sites in 26 different
countries worldwide. Kevin shares his life here in Ridgway with his wife, Ashley, and
their three pups. When not working, Kevin can generally be found soaking up the
sun on the sidewalk or enjoying live music at the Sherbino Theater. Kevin is passionate about our little
town, "the center of the universe," as he likes to call it, and is thrilled to be an active participant in
Ridgway's future.

Councilor Polly Kroger
Councilor Polly Enochs was elected to Ridgway Town Council in April 2022. Polly was
born in Colorado and split her time between Southwestern Ohio and Empire, CO
growing up. After moving to Colorado full-time in 2009 she spent her time primarily on
the front range. After an epic road trip, where she discovered the beauty of the western
slope, she moved to Ridgway full time in 2018. Her background includes a degree in
Psychology from Colorado State University (BS, 2014) and years of customer service,
hospitality, and sales. Polly shares her life here in Ridgway with her husband, Nick.
When not working, Polly can generally be found enjoying the sun on hikes with Nick,
performing music with one of several bands she is a singer in, or cooking for friends.
Polly loves this town and is passionate about keeping the small town feel in the midst of the inevitable
changes coming. Polly could not be more excited to be of service to the community.

Councilor Josey Scoville
Councilor Josey Scoville began her term on the Ridgway Town Council in April of
2024. She first visited Ridgway in 2002 before moving to Ridgway full-time in 2004.
Josey and her husband, Charlie, keep busy running their concrete company while
raising two children who both attend the Ridgway School District.
Josey’s schooling background includes graduating Magna Cum Laude from Concordia
College in Moorhead, MN with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Business & French,
as well as completing her International Business Degree while attending university in
Rennes, France. Since moving to Ridgway over 20 years ago, she has worked in a
variety of industries, including restaurants, office management, property
management, marketing, and medical administration.
When not busy with work and children, you’ll find Josey rafting, snowboarding, and traveling – but always
with the joy & peace in her heart knowing that she is one of the lucky ones who get to call Ridgway home.
Josey is excited to represent our community and do her best to ensure all local’s voices and opinions are
heard.
