A. PALISADE SUNDAY FARMERS MARKET Every Sunday in downtown Palisade from 9:00
am – 1:00 pm through October 4, 2026.
B. COMMUNITY MEET & GREET: Introducing K9 Riot, Palisade Police Department’s
newest Officer! Come meet Riot at the Palisade gymnasium (711 Iowa Avenue) on July 24,
2026, at 6:00 pm to ask questions about the K9 program and see him demonstrate his detection
skills.
C. PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITY: Stop by the Clifton Community Market on
Saturday, July 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., or the Palisade Farmers Market on Sunday, July
26, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., to provide feedback on draft components of the Regional
Master Plan for the Grand Valley River Corridor Initiative and help shape the future of our
river corridor.
D. PALISADE TOWN GROUCH: The Palisade Lions Club is hosting its 41
st
annual Town
Grouch Contest. Every year, the Palisade Lions Club helps the community select its most
prestigious representative, the Town Grouch!
This year, voting begins June 6th with the announcement at Bluegrass Festival and ends with the
“Crowning” of the new Grouch at the Peach Fest Ice Cream Social on Thursday, August 14,
2026, by last year’s Grouch.

IX. CONSENT AGENDA
The Consent Agenda is intended to allow the Board to spend its time on more complex items. These items
are generally perceived as non-controversial and can be approved by a single motion. The public or any
Board Member may ask that an item be removed from the Consent Agenda for individual consideration.

X. NEW BUSINESS
A. ORDINANCE 2026-11 – Updating Election Write-In Candidate Deadlines
The Board of Trustees will consider ORDINANCE 2026-11, updating the deadlines to submit
proper paperwork to be a write-in candidate in general municipal elections to match State of
Colorado requirements.

- Decision: Motion, Second, and Rollcall Vote to: Approve or deny ORDINANCE 2026-
11, amending Chapter 2 of the Palisade Municipal Code regarding deadlines to file write-
in candidate affidavits and when a Municipal Election may be canceled.
B. Replacement Of Two Fire Department Rooftop HVAC Units
The Board of Trustees will consider directing the Town Manager to replace two rooftop HVAC
units on the Fire Department building that are at the end of their service life or inoperable.

Manager to purchase and install two rooftop HVAC units on the Fire Department
building for an amount not to exceed $25,500.00.

C. Community Development Commission Interviews and Appointments
The Board of Trustees will interview eight (8) candidates for four (4) open seats on the Palisade
Community Development Commission. A silent priority vote will occur after the interviews to
fill the four (4) positions. A rollcall vote will appoint the commissioners to the respective seats.

Appoint Name 1, Name 2, and Name 3 to the Palisade Community Development
Commission for a three-year term ending in February 2029, and Name 4 to the
Palisade Community Development Commission for a one-year term ending in
February 2027
XI. PUBLIC COMMENT

boardroom doors. Please keep comments to 3 MINUTES OR LESS and state your name and
address. Neither the Board of Trustees nor staff will respond to comments at this time. The Board may
direct staff to look into specific comments to bring back as an Agenda item at a future meeting; however,
the Board reserves the right to clarify information from comments that are factually incorrect.
All emails sent to the Town Clerk for public comment will be forwarded to the Board of Trustees. Any
member of the public who wishes to have a statement or email read to the Board of Trustees is required
to appear in person and make said statements to the Board directly.
