Utility
billing

the
hearing
online.

Utility
Billing
Dispute

For

the
City
of
Gunnison
conducts
hearings
regarding
possible
tennination
of
utility
service
in
accordance
with
Title
12
Utilities,
Chapter
12.40
Utility
Service
Rates,
Rules
and
Regulations,
12.40.030(E)(4)(a-
f)
of
the
Gunnison
Municipal
Code.
Mayor
Plata
provided
a
summary
of
the
orderand
procedure
for
the
hearing.
Utility
billing
customer
Adam
Maestle
provided
a
written
statement,
whichMayor
Plata
read
into
the
record.
Mayor
Plata
then
opened
the
hearing
to
questions
from
Council.
Councilor
Schwartz
requested
more
specifics
on
the
timeline
and
details
of
thematter,
and
Councilor
Schwartz,
Mayor
Pro
Tern
Ballesteros,
and
Councilor
Zahradka
requested
more
time
to
review
Mr.
Maestle’s
statement.
Council
directed
staff
to
prepare
a
report
containing
a
response
to
the
statement,
and
to
schedule
a
follow-up
special
session.
Mayor
Plata
proposed
the
special
session
to
be
tentatively
scheduled
for
September
22,
2026,
at
4:30pm,
prior
to
the
next
City
Council
regular
session.
Mr.
Maestle
confirmed
that
he
is
available
at
that
time.
