City of Aspen launches online Strategic Plan progress dashboard

Aspen, CO - The city of Aspen has launched a new online dashboard for its Strategic Plan: Roadmap to 2027, providing community members with access to updates on the city’s highest-priority work. highest-priority work. highest-priority work. highest-priority work.

The city of Aspen Strategic Plan brings together Aspen City Council’s priorities and the work underway across the organization to advance them. It is intentionally concise and designed to help the public understand what the city is working toward, what success looks like, and how individual projects support broader outcomes for the Aspen community.

The new dashboard is the next step in the city’s commitment to transparency and accessible public information. Community members can use it to explore the Strategic Plan’s objectives, review the initiatives that support them, and see the milestones the city will use to track progress. The dashboard will be updated as work advances, providing a current view of important projects and the results the city is working to deliver.

“City Council has set clear priorities for the organization, and staff across the city are working every day to turn those priorities into positive outcomes for Aspen,” said city manager Pete Strecker. “This dashboard gives community members an easy way to follow that work, understand where important projects stand, and stay informed about progress on Council’s priorities.”

The Strategic Plan centers on six objectives: critical public projects; early childhood education; resource and infrastructure resilience; traffic flow and congestion; exceptional experiences and services; and organizational excellence. Together, they reflect areas where the city seeks to make meaningful progress while continuing to deliver the everyday services that the community depends upon.

The dashboard does not attempt to include every important city project or program. Instead, it focuses on the highest impact of work identified in the Strategic Plan and provides links to supporting information for community members who want additional background and detail.
