Grand Junction, CO - On August 15, 2026, at approximately 11:55 p.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a report of an intoxicated driver on the Riverside Parkway.
911 dispatchers with the Grand Junction Regional Communication Center received a call from bystanders in the area of a vehicle speeding through a parking lot at Las Colonias Park, located at 1251 Riverfront Drive, who struck a curb, causing the right front tire to go flat. The driver threw an object toward the reporting party, causing damage to their vehicle, drove out of Las Colonias Park, and was later located by officers in the 2700 block of Riverside Parkway.
The driver, identified as 25-year-old Courtney Duque, of Clifton, Colorado, was arrested and transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility where she was booked on the following charges:
DUI – Drove Vehicle Under the Influence
Careless Driving
No Insurance in Possession
Attempted Assault – 2nd Degree – Deadly Weapon (two counts)
Criminal Mischief - $2,000-$5,000
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Driving Under Restraint
Violation of a Protection Order
Controlled Substance – Possession Schedule I/II/III/IV/V
