Durango Transit will extend DuranGO! microtransit service to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays beginning October 2, funded by the Colorado Clean Transit Enterprise.

Durango, CO: **Durango Transit is expanding evening microtransit service on Friday and Saturday nights through funding from the Colorado Clean Transit Enterprise. DuranGO! will operate until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays beginning this Friday, Oct. 2. This service enhancement responds to rider feedback and will provide late‑night travel options for residents, workers, and visitors.

Regular service hours of 5:00 p.m. to midnight will continue Sunday through Thursday. The newly extended weekend schedule will run from 5:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

“Extending our weekend hours strengthens our commitment to safe, reliable, and convenient transit for the Durango community,” said Sarah Hill, Transportation Director. “These added hours support local businesses, service‑industry employees, and anyone enjoying Durango’s vibrant nightlife.”

Colorado’s Clean Transit Enterprise is funding the service expansion through the Senate Bill 24-230 Local Transit Operations Program, which aims to provide frequent, convenient, and reliable transit service, increase ridership, and replace single-occupancy car trips. Durango Transit received an annual allocation of $43,244 to fund the extended weekend hours.
