The City of Glenwood Springs offers mobile food vendors a temporary vending opportunity at North Landing from September 5 to 7, subject to permit approval.

The City of Glenwood Springs Parks and Recreation Department is excited to offer a mobile food vending opportunity at North Landing from September 5–7. This temporary vending location provides an excellent chance to serve park visitors during the busy Labor Day weekend.

Operating Details

  • Location: North Landing on 6th Street, Glenwood Springs

  • Dates: September 5th, 6th, and 7th

  • Daily Fee: $347 per day, 50 amp electric service included (generator use is prohibited), plus $22 application fee.

  • Park Access: Vendor will be located in the designated food truck pad (see attached diagram) and have access to the entire park including existing tables and chairs during approved operating hours.

  • Size Requirement: Food truck, cart, or trailer, can be no larger than 10 feet by 20 feet.

Special Event Permit Requirement

To operate during this period, vendors must rent the park as a Special Event, which requires submitting a Parks and Recreation Facility Use Permit Application. Applicants must adhere to the requirements outlined in the Parks and Recreation Facility Use Permit Policy, including insurance, food safety documentation, Temporary Use/Sales Permits, and waiver of liability.

Once the application and documents are submitted, Parks and Recreation staff will review the request, confirm eligibility, and issue approval for operation.

Details

Applications will be prioritized by order received. This is a pilot event that will help inform future food truck programming at North Landing and other city facilities.
