Grand Junction, CO – On September 14, 2026, at approximately 12:10 a.m. officers with the Grand Junction Police Department were dispatched to a report of a possible hit and run crash near Westland Avenue and D Road. The reporting party advised 911 dispatchers with the Grand Junction Regional Communication Center that they had found an unconscious female lying on the sidewalk near a scooter.
The female was transported to a local hospital by the Grand Junction Fire Department. Despite life-saving efforts by hospital personnel, the female succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for releasing the identity of the deceased female.
