The Meeker Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer . An immediate opening exists for a qualified candidate. Meeker is a beautiful town in rural Northwest Colorado with a population of about 2,500. The area is known for our great hunting, fishing and other outdoor recreational sports.
In addition to a salary starting at $60,000 for the first year, plus overtime, the town offers some excellent benefits to include:

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
21 years of age at the time of hire.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Colorado POST Certified, currently enrolled in a POST academy, or ability to obtain Provisional Certificate (for out of state certified peace officers).
Valid Colorado driver’s license, or the ability to obtain within 30 days.
No felony charges, disqualifying misdemeanors, or domestic violence in history. ·POSITION OPEN UNTIL FILLED
The selection process may include completion of a basic written test, oral board interview, background investigation, integrity interview, polygraph exam, psychological exam, medical exam and a drug screen.
