Beginning Monday, August 31, contractors working for the City of Montrose will begin a sidewalk widening project along S Hillcrest Dr between Miami Road and Sunnyside Road.
Work will include removing and replacing failed concrete curb, gutter, and undersized sidewalks along the west side of Hillcrest. New 6-foot sidewalks and ADA ramps will be constructed through the corridor.
Traffic along Hillcrest will remain open in both directions throughout construction. Side streets will be closed temporarily while work is occurring in each intersection. The city asks that all motorists and pedestrians respect project work zones and detours.
