Woman Charged with Robbery and Criminal Mischief After Fleeing from Officers

Grand Junction Police charged 20-year-old Emma Anderson with robbery, criminal mischief, and other offenses after she fled officers following an incident on Mesa Avenue.

Grand Junction, CO - On September 2, 2026, at approximately 1:10 p.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department were dispatched to a report of two females fighting in the 800 block of Mesa Avenue.

Through investigation, officers determined one of the females unlawfully entered the other female’s vehicle while she was seated inside, despite being restrained from contacting her. The suspect exited the vehicle, damaged and stole property belonging to the victim, and a physical altercation ensued.

The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Emma Anderson, fled from police but was ultimately taken into custody.

Anderson was arrested and transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility where she was booked on the following charges:

  • Robbery

  • 1st Degree Criminal Trespass of Auto with Intent to Commit Crime

  • Criminal Mischief - $1,000-$2,000

  • Violation of Protection Order (two counts)

  • Obstruction of Telephone or Telegraph Service

  • Obstructing a Peace Officer

  • Harassment

  • Domestic Violence

The investigation into this incident remains ongoing, and there is no additional information available at this time.
