Trail #403, known as Washington Gulch Trail, ascends from Crested Butte toward Gothic Mountain. The route climbs through spruce and fir forests before reaching a steep, rocky ridge with views of wildflower meadows. The trail reaches an elevation of approximately 11,000 feet.
