About

Andy's Loop is a strenuous hiking trail in the Redlands area of Grand Junction, Colorado. It serves as one of the most challenging routes within the Tabeguache Lunch Loop Trail System, managed by the Bureau of Land Management. The trail begins off Monument Road and connects with the Eagle's Tail and Tabeguache trails to form a larger loop. The route itself is approximately 3 miles long, contributing to total loop distances of 7 to 7.3 miles when combined with connecting paths. Elevation ranges from approximately 4,565 to 5,428 feet, with an elevation gain exceeding 1,000 feet. The terrain features steep inclines, technical singletrack sections, and hard-packed dirt descents. A notable characteristic is the trail's repeated ascents and descents, which reclaim elevation after initial drops toward No Thoroughfare Canyon. The trail is open year-round and allows mountain biking, hiking, equestrian use, and off-leash dogs. Parking is available at the Monument Road Lunch Loops Trailhead, located across from Little Park Trailhead. Cell service is generally available with 3 to 5 bars.
