About
Atomic Tick Fever (Sit Start) is a bouldering problem located on the west face of the Hone Stone in the Skyland area near Crested Butte, Colorado. The route sits at an elevation of approximately 8,900 feet. It is classified as a moderate boulder problem, specifically graded 7C+ by some sources. The climb begins with a sit start from a jug near the ground, located a few feet to the left of the Berholtz Arete. The crux consists of a long cross to a small crimper, followed by more crimps and difficult foot placements, leading into a standing start. The route is short, measuring about 15 to 16 feet in height. Climbers typically use pads and spotters for protection. Access is open but subject to private property restrictions; the southern entrance is through private land, so climbers should enter from the north. Parking is available near the site. Pets are permitted. The area is accessible year-round.
