About
Beck's Trail is a 0.4-mile dirt path in Gunnison, Colorado, located within the Hartman Rocks area managed by the BLM Gunnison Field Office. The trail connects to a network of multi-use routes and serves as an access point for hiking, biking, horses, and motorcycles. Starting from the upper parking area, hikers proceed southwest down a road to the second right-hand turn. After hiking up for several hundred yards, a trail sign marks the singletrack entry on the right. The route is generally used in both directions, requiring awareness of cross-traffic. Elevation ranges from 7,979 to 8,146 feet with a modest gain of approximately 130 to 167 feet. The surface is dirt, and the trail allows dogs. While some sources classify it as moderate or intermediate with an easy rolling downhill profile, others label it hard due to technical sections. Parking is available near the trailhead.
