The trail sits at an elevation of 8,234 feet and features a gentle 150-foot climb when traveling west to east. It is classified as easy difficulty and typically takes about 8 minutes to complete, though some riders may take longer depending on pace. The surface is dirt, and the terrain consists of sagebrush high desert. Access is multidirectional, allowing riders to travel in either direction. The trail is open from April through October, subject to snow conditions. Parking is available at the trailhead. The route allows dogs, e-bikes, and horses, and it is managed by the BLM Gunnison Field Office. It serves as a connector trail to other routes in the area, including Josho's Trails.
